Description
There are so many architectural gems on either side of the Grand Canal, Venice that's it's difficult to chose just a few favourites, a trip along the water, even at a slow pace, is quite overwhelming. The Palazzo Salviati was one building that particularly caught my eye for it's unique and intriguing detail and design. Built at the very beginning of the 20th century (relatively new by Venetian standards) for the Salviati family, well known glass makers from Murano, and renovated in 1924, it has a wonderfully ornate facade of mosaics produced by master craftsmen of the era. I added a little texture to Palazzo Salviati Grand Canal Venice to complete the image.
