Description
Bruges (or Brugge), capital of West Flanders and situated in North West Belgium is a city fit for a storybook. The medieval old town is filled with cobblestone lanes, horse drawn carriages, historic buildings and quaint canals which have contributed to it's nickname of 'Little Venice of The North'. Picture perfect postcard vistas are everywhere and there are no shortage of places to stop, admire the view and feel like you have gone back in time and stepped into a real life fairytale. To the left of the image is the St Bonifacius bridge, built in 1910 but looking somewhat older, the view from atop this bridge is perhaps one of the most picturesque in Bruges, you can't fail to be enchanted in these romantic surroundings. I added a little texture to Picturesque Bruges complete the vintage feel.
