I would love this phone case for an S8 plus :-)

Tim Newton replied:

Hi Pam! I'm confirming your discovery that, by all appearances, FAA doesn't offer cases for the S8 Plus. Sorry about that!! Of course, I'd love for you to have one!! I've seen this kitten on a phone case they DO make, and it was awesome!!

To the purchasers of this photo: Thank you so very much!! FAA doesn't give me a way to reach out to you personally, so this is the best I can do. I am so grateful for your orders, and happy you like the photo, and will have one for your wall. May you experience some of the joy in viewing your photo in the coming years, as I had in capturing it!! All my best to all of you, and again, THANK YOU!! :-)

I have to say, your photography is outstanding! What an experience is must have been to watch these youngsters play on your deck. I have so many favorites from this shoot, it was hard to choose but I have to say, this is top on my list. I love the intense look this kitten gives the viewer, as if it is gazing into the soul.

Tim Newton replied:

Thank you, Amy!! I haven't decided for sure, but this is in the running for my favorite as well!! :-)

I saw an article on The Canadian Broadcast Company's (CBC) website about this incident and a number of your photos were posted there. This is a very lucky experience because usually a lynx, especially a lynx mother with cubs, avoids humans assiduously. They are often found very close to human habitations and even cities; but they avoid us seeing them, even though they are often watching us. I know photographers who have captured a lynx photo and even occasionally a cub. But never have I seen them hang around so long and just ignore a photographer. You are very lucky to experience it. Well done!

Tim Newton replied:

Yes, in my lifetime - mostly in Alaska - I've seen lynx around six times. Three of those times I only saw them perhaps five seconds or so. As soon as they saw me see them, they melted away. Most of the time I was inside my house behind either a window screen or a window. Our windows have a somewhat reflective coating, so it was easy to go unnoticed. (Fortuitously, I'd left the circ pol filter on my camera, so I got virtually zero window glare or reflections in these!) Toward the last few minutes, realizing I'd gotten lots of shots from indoors, I decided to press my luck and go outside. Two times I took the camera away from my face, and each time it terrorized a kitten. The first time was just after the shot you see here, above. The kitten ran madly away when it saw my eyes. I had a long robe on, so may have appeared unthreatening having no eyes or legs. It's a bit of a mystery, though, for sure!!
