I awoke around 3 am one morning and stared at my unfinished my painting, "Blessing the Jewel in the Sky" and I wrote a poem about it and another painting. Then I fell back asleep. The next morning I checked my dream journal to see if I had really written poems. Sure enough, I had.
Blessing the Jewel in the Sky
The Universe in all its vastness,
Has a knowingness, which is love
A wave, a particle, a vibration
It created a beautiful blue-green spinning jewel
Called Earth, called home, to us humans
In its love the universe beaconed forth
A luminous goddess star being,
Please take form and shower grace upon my jewel,
For its tiny inhabitants have lost their way
And gone astray
Bless these tiny star beings with love and light’
That they may live another night
Great Owl take form and bless them with your wisdom
To choose the way of love,
That which is the glorious path
Of the Universal Creator.
