Description
I don't remember the exact variety but I believe it may have been one of the more deadly types. All I know is I was mesmerized by the flowing movement. This one posted here was in the Boston Aquarium.
Although I have found common jellyfish in the ocean and I have studied them with gloves on as they floated with me on the current. Until I realized that I was in a school of them and even though I was covered from head to toe in neoprene there were a couple of spots open and I was acquainted quickly with the need to keep the distance from large "blooms" of jelly fish. A painful reminder but those were minor compared to what this lovely example might have done to me.
Go to the aquarium and see what they say about jellies. We are affecting the oceans and causing them to take over the ocean with our pollution... It's something to thing about... :-(

Thanks Joe, most of my jellies are of the Atlantic sea nettle which is a crowd pleaser but this one has eluded identification. I loved the flowing shapes it creates as it propels itself through the water...
