Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake sits near the eastern end of Yosemite Valley with Half Dome to the south and North Dome to the north. Clouds Rest, shown here back right is to the east.
The lake is filling in with gravel and silt that gets carried down the mountains during the rains. The National Park Service used to clear out the lake but now they have switched policies and are allowing nature to take over.
On this day the winds were calm and the lake, what's left of it, reflected the surrounding areas perfectly.
A winter storm had passed a couple days prior and there was still some snow on the ground making for a beautiful, serene atmosphere for the beautiful setting in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range,
